Re: Favorite Rollercoasters
Mon, November 1, 2004 - 2:53 PMMine would have to be the Screamin' Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis, because it's the only one I've ever ridden more than once without hurling. -

Re: Favorite Rollercoasters
Mon, November 1, 2004 - 7:57 PMI don't do rollercoasters....I used to have a child hood phobia of rollercoasters, seems I fell out of onewhen I was 4. We were at a local country fair and my father and I got on a mine ride type coaster. Ours the saftey bar wouldn't latch, so Dad just held onto it. We went around a turn, and voop, out I popped...luckily it was cold that day and I was wearing one of those coats with a big fur lined hood, and dad had quick reflexes, cuz he pulled my back in via my hook. But it was like slow motion for me. There was a pond right below where the coaster was, it had plastic gators in it, but I thought they were real...I was 4. Very dramatic...from then on I refused to ride them. When I was in my early to mid 20's I decided to get over this fear, and my friends and I went to 6 flags over texas in Arlington. I rode the biggest baddest ones they had, then went to Astro world and rode some of their big baddies. I faced my fear, but still didn't like roller coasters.
Now...get me in a glider! Doing wing overs, stalls, and runway fly by's.....WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Re: Favorite Rollercoasters
Sun, December 5, 2004 - 6:48 PMNot exactly a rollercoaster, www.sftravel.com/lomabardc...treet.html
but driving UP this hill in a 35 foot camperized, rolling-party-on-wheels magic schoolbus full of crazed friends was quite a ride! The distance between the front & rear wheels is far less than 35 feet, but I'm sure we must have trimmed the hedges a bit on the way up! LOL
(Note sign at bottom of hill) "but officer, we were only going one way!" (actually upon reaching the top of the street, we made a fast exit ot of the neighborhood!)

Yes, we actually made it all the way to the top, then continued on our way... "weeeeeeeee!" -
